Polaris Outlaw Shines in 2006 GNCC and WORCS Series
Minneapolis, MN (11/2/06) - With the
2006 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) and World Off
Road Championship Series (WORCS) meets concluding at the
end of October, the Polaris Outlaw proved it was a worthy
competitor its inaugural year on the race circuit.
Two GNCC Class Championships
"4-Stroke Stock A/B" Racer Todd Rothermel
and "Super Senior (50+)" Racer John Gallagher
finished the 2006 GNCC meet on top of their respective
classes. Rothermel finished the season with seven victories
and two seconds with a total of 178 points. Gallagher
had nine first place finishes, one second and one third
with a total of 180 points.

Women's Pro Stephanie Parton hit the podium 10 out
of 13 starts, with eight second place finishes and two
third places, ending the season third overall in the
Women's division, just one point behind Angel Atwell.
WORCS Stock
Stock A Racer, Jeff Bertuzzi dominated the Stock A
class by hitting the podium for six first and two second
places finishes over the nine-race meet. Bertuzzi lead
the Stock A point standings at the break and never looked
back. He finished the season with 177 points.
"We're proud of all our sponsored racers and equally
proud of all the loyal Polaris riders that we weren't
able to sponsor this year," said Jeff LeFever,
marketing manager for the ATV Division at Polaris. "The
goal for the Outlaw was to prove the competitiveness
of an IRS sport quad, and it has proven itself in both
series."

Polaris will be offering a contingency program for
is the SCORE International Baja 1000, November 15-18.
Any Outlaw or Predator rider is eligible for the contingency
of $25,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place
or $2,500 for third place.
Information about Polaris' plans for the 2007 racing
season will be announced early 2007.
