El Cajon, CA (2/6/2016)
- Duncan Racing’s Garrin Fuller recovered
from bad luck to finish seventh in Round 2
of the WORCS Championship at Buffalo Bill’s
Casino and Resort. Kyle Fuller finished fourth
in Pro-Am in just his second start in the
class and was sixth in Production A.
Garrin Fuller was charging through the pack
after a difficult start and was running fourth
when the heel guard on his Honda broke. After
stopping to fix it, Fuller was climbing up
the order again when the entire foot peg snapped,
ending his day early

“It was a lot of work to get into fourth,”
said Fuller. “It’s a bummer for sure. Yesterday,
I broke the front bolt off in practice, so
we tried to weld it. The welds just failed
after the heel guard failed. It’s just rotten
luck. The track was tough. I was searching
for new lines every lap.
“I’m going to have a new bike at the next
round, so we’ll be starting fresh,” added
Fuller. “This bad luck streak is certain to
end then.”
Kyle Fuller contended with high winds and
dust to net the top five in Pro-Am. He had
trouble warming up early in the race, but
just missed his first podium in the end with
an impressive fourth place finish.

“This track is really hard to set up for,”
said Fuller. “The suspension, the tires and
the engine were just awesome. After about
the fifth lap, I finally got warmed up and
nearly took third. But I’m happy with fourth
especially in just my second start. I had
fun today. We just have to keep building from
here.
“The wind was definitely sketchy today,”
added Fuller. “I had my bars turned all of
the way left and it was still pushing me over.
It was gnarly.”
Garrin and Kyle Fuller will be back in action
when the WORCS Championship heads to Las Vegas
February 26-28 for Round 3 of the title chase.
