El Cajon, CA (3/3/2016)
- Duncan Racing’s Garrin Fuller continued his charge to the front in the WORCS Pro ATV Series, finishing fifth in Round 3 at South Point Casino.
Starting fresh on a brand new Honda, Fuller took on the South Point course, which was different than most WORCS races. It was set up in South Point’s three horse arenas, along with the area around the casino. The short course featured multiple different racing surfaces, including asphalt, concrete, sand, dirt and clay, as well as log sections, and big air jumps.

Fuller ran much of the race in second place, but he cased a double in one of the arenas and dislocated his shoulder. After that, he nursed it in for the top-five finish.
“I started battling to keep the position, and I made a mistake off of a double and messed up my shoulder,” said Garrin. “Then I stalled it on a log and just ran around to try to finish the race. Since Daytona of last year, I’ve had problems with the shoulder. It needs to be fixed, but that would take a long time and I want to ride. This was a fluke accident, and I’ll be ready for the next race no matter what.
“The bike started right off the bat,” said Garrin of his Duncan Racing Honda. “I had a great race and I was keeping great pace. This was definitely better than a DNF. I had a lot of bad luck at the last two races, but I’m improving. I got my first podium in Havasu last year, so I’m looking forward to it.”
Kyle Fuller finished eighth in the Pro Am ATV race after driving from 11th at the start. Fuller salvaged a 17th-place finish in Production A ATV after technical difficulties sidelined his charge.

“The Pro Am race went better than the A race,” said Kyle. “I stalled it at the start, but the bike, STI tires and ELKA shocks were flawless. The track was difficult for me, and I just couldn’t really get going. It was definitely cool racing in an arena, and all in all it was a good weekend.
“I cannot wait for Havasu,” added Kyle. “It’s a real ‘man’s track.’ I’m definitely coming out guns blazing there.”
Garrin and Kyle Fuller will return to the track March 18-20 when WORCS heads to Lake Havasu, AZ for a doubleheader weekend.
