Jerry Boling finished fifth
in his GNCC UTV XC1 Pro debut in Palatka, FL.
Driving the Addict Racing/Racer Tech / 360 Fly
/ Polaris RZR, Boling survived the carnage-filled
race to record the top five in his first GNCC
Pro UTV race.

“To run with these factory guys, doing it
as an independent is very humbling,” said
Boling. “I have to take my hat off to Addict
Race Engines, Racer Tech and 360 Fly. That
motor pulls so strong. We needed that power
in the fields and especially in the mud holes.
We had no time on this car. We had no time
to really tune the shocks, so I’m really looking
forward to the next round.”
Boling is also running Gold Speed Tires this
season. He ran a different compound than he’d
planned, but the sand tires he wanted to run
weren’t available. “The sand tires got held
up in customs,” explained Boling. “We had
to run last year’s tire. I won a championship
with that tire, so it definitely works.”

Boling uses his Fly 360 camera as a driver’s
aid, as well as using it to post to social
media. He said it has really helped him as
a driver.
“I can literally mount the camera to my dash
and get a full 360 degree view of the car,”
said Boling. “That allows me to review the
race in depth and make informed driving changes.
The camera also allows me to do more Instagram
and Facebook.”
On the technical side, Boling appreciates
the adjustability of his Racer Tech components,
as well as their quality.
“I especially like the Racer Tech A-arms,”
said Boling. “They have camber and caster
adjustment on the front and caster on the
rear. This really helps us to dial in our
car. The quality of the Racer Tech parts is,
by far, the best.”

Boling joined the GNCC series this year after
winning the Production 900 UTV Championship
in the MAX Championship Series, but the unexpected
passing of two family members this past week
nearly postponed his debut.
“I’d like to say thank you to my wife. We’ve
had a difficult week; we lost two family members
this week,” said Boling, “I am now looking
forward to getting back home to be with my
wife and family.”
With his professional pit setup from Matrix
Concepts, Boling will be back in action as
the GNCC UTV Racing heads to South Carolina
for the Big Buck April 16-17, and be sure
