Phoenix, AZ (3/25/2016)
- Lonestar Racing / GPS’ David Flores
overcame a hard crash to finish seventh in
just his second WORCS Pro ATV Race at Crazy
Horse Campground in Arizona.
Flores was running in the top five on the third lap when he had a bad crash. He got back on the quad, and despite breathing issues and setup problems, he soldiered on to record his second top-10 finish in as many starts.

“I had a bad get off,” said Flores. “The bike ran me over. I was sitting for 30 or 40 seconds. I got back on the bike and it was hard for me to breath. Then I had another get off. My suspension was setup way too soft, but that’s racing. I wasn’t fully prepared, but we’re ready to come back and be more prepared for the next one.

Flores made a tire change prior to the race to deal with the Lake Havasu’s notoriously rough and sandy racing surface. “I put on a new set of GPS tires because it was really sandy,” said Flores. “They really helped in the corners. I didn’t have the Elka Suspension dialed in quite right, but we’ll fix that at the next round.”
Flores will return to WORCS competition April 15-17 when the series visits Sand Hollow in Utah.
