Ryan Piplic Clinches WORCS SxS Pro Unlimited Title
WORCS Racing - Round 9 - Glen Helen

Las Vegas, NV (9/21/2016) - Ryan Piplic clinched the WORCS Pro Unlimited SxS Championship with a fifth-place finish at Glen Helen Raceway. A fourth-place finish in the Pro SXS race keeps him in contention in that championship.

Piplic drove a conservative pace in the Unlimited race. He kept the car together and recorded the top five, adding to his two victories and three additional podiums this season.

“My goal was to drive conservatively and increase my points gap,” said Piplic. “I did what I had to do to win the championship. With two laps to go, I ran into some issues, but I held on to secure that championship. I’m super excited to win the title. I wish I had finished on the podium, but my goal was to secure the championship.”

In the Pro race, Piplic overcame mechanical issues to finish fourth. He is now just 12 points out of the lead in the championship with just one race left.

“I made a small error in the first turn, drove up onto two wheels, saved it and came out fourth,” said Piplic. “I had some mechanical issues toward the end of the race, but I was able to cruise to the finish and hold onto some points.”
