Can-am’s Cody Miller scored his second victory

racing conditions, Miller used the rough and dusty
conditions to his advantage to nab the class victory
and overall win.

Miller quickly took second at the start. He came
out atop a three-ATV battle to take the lead on
the final lap and cruise to victory. “I held the
quad wide open at the start, and I made a bunch
of passes on the outside of the turns,” said Miller.
“I moved into to second before we hit the woods.
From there, I stayed as close as I could to the
leader.
“The dust was so thick that if I fell back, I
wouldn’t be able to see,” added Miller. “I used
the rough stuff in the fields to my advantage.
The Maxxis Tires with Tire Balls were hooking
up really well and the Elka Shocks took all the
hard hits. The DWT Wheels held together despite
all of the rocks. It was very close at the end
of the race.”
The win marks Miller’s first back-to-back podium
in his first season of GNCC 4x4 Pro competition.
He finished third at the last race. Miller moved
up to 205 points in the championship, only eight
points out of third. Several championship contenders
had difficulties here, helping his championship
hopes.
“I’m excited about the points I’ve gained in
the last two races,” said Miller. “I’m hoping
to keep it on the box in the next two races so
I can break into that top three in points.”
Miller heads to Powerline Park in Ohio for the
next race. He will attempt to clinch the XC1 Pro
UTV Championship. “My UTV championship is on the
cusp of becoming a reality,” said Miller. “Hopefully,
I can go into Powerline Park and go for the win.
If I can seal up the championship there that’s
what I want to do. I am all in at this point;
I don’t have a lot of reserve in my game.”
Miller has been staying with Can-Am teammate
Kyle Chaney to make travel a little easier for
the next race in Ohio. Though they are fierce
competitors on the track, they are good friends.
“We’re good friends off the track,” said Miller
of Chaney. “I’ve made friends with a lot of competitors
this year. This is my first year in GNCC, but
I feel right at home. The people I race against
are all good people.”
The Miller Brothers will be back in action next
weekend October 1-2 at Powerline Park in St. Clairsville,
OH.
