Team Bradco's Linkon Leaverton earned the win in the SxS 700 Class |
Driving essentially a bone stock Arctic Cat Wildcat 700, Leaverton was the man to beat in his classes on the unique short course.
In the SXS 700 class, Leaverton took the lead on the final lap after running second for the entire race to secure the victory at the checkered flag. “I battled until the final lap when the leader rolled, and I took the win,” said Leaverton. “He just went into the turn too fast, and I took the spot. The course was tight, but I liked it.”
In the SXS 700 Youth race, Leaverton took the holeshot and dominated the event, recording his second victory of the weekend. “I got the holeshot and got out front,” said Leaverton. “It was a good race. I led the whole race. It’s the same Wildcat we had in the last round. It’s stock, aside from a little bit of clutch work. I’m stoked to get another win.

Leaverton also grabbed the win in the
SxS Youth 700 Class at South Point |
“I’d like to thank Arctic Cat,
BMP Performance, Raceline Wheels, GBC Tires,
Gates Belts, and Bradco Construction,”
added Leaverton. “I wouldn’t be
here without their help.”
Cody Bradbury competed in both the SXS Pro and SXS Unlimited races. In SXS Pro he was running in the top five when he snapped an axle after contact with another competitor. He nursed his machine to a ninth-place finish.

double in the South Point Arena |
“I got bumped around at the start and
came out third,” said Bradbury. “I
tried to run some clean laps, but came together
with Beau Baron and snapped an axle. I had
to put it into two-wheel drive from there
and couldn’t make any of the turns in
the arena. Two-wheel drive doesn’t work
well on the polished concrete and sand. So
I’m glad to get out of here without
a DNF and with some points. So, all in all,
it was OK.”
In SXS Unlimited, Bradbury was running second when he clipped the inside of the one of the shipping container tunnels and fell back to ninth at the finish.

in the Arena |
“I closed up on the leader a couple
of times,” said Bradbury. “I was
trying to stay close and force a mistake.
I came out of one of the storage containers
and clipped the edge of it. I cut a tire and
bent the steering box. I had to pit to fix
it, and then I went out just to finish and
get some points. I had a rough weekend, but
it was a fun track.”
Corbin Leaverton had his own share of technical difficulties in the Pro Stock race. He lost a drive belt while running third and salvaged a 14th-place finish. “I was running third or fourth, but I blew a belt about halfway through,” said Leaverton. “We had some trouble changing it in the pits. I just tried to finish off and get some points. I salvaged the finish and didn’t get a DNF.”
