Nuevo, CA (3/31/2016) -
Team Bradco’s Linkon Leaverton scored a pair
of victories and a second-place finish during
the doubleheader WORCS weekend at Lake Havasu,
AZ. Teammate Cody Bradbury suffered issues
in the Pro and Pro Unlimited Side by Side
races.
Leaverton earned his third and fourth victories
in a row in SXS Youth 700 Production. Driving
a bone-stock Arctic Cat, Leaverton dominated
both races.

“I just got the holeshot and didn’t look
back at all,” said Leaverton of the Youth
races. “The track was rough, and wet in spots,
but it was fun. The Arctic Cat people had
my car running great. I’m just stoked and
super happy with how we’re doing.”
Leaverton also finished second in the SXS
700 Production adult class race after brake
problems forced him out of the lead.

“I had to run that race with no brakes, so
I wasn’t able to keep the lead,” said Leaverton.
“It was really rough in that race. There were
lots of holes everywhere and rocks.
“Arctic Cat, D&P Performance, Raceline
Wheels, GBC Tires, Gates Belts, and Bradco
Construction are the reason I’m here,” added
Leaverton. “They’re all behind this successful
effort.”
Bradbury had problems with the fans on his
rides in both Pro SXS races. He retired early
from the Pro Unlimited race with overheating
problems.
“The car just overheated after the fan stopped
working,” said Bradbury. “Havasu is a fairly
slow track and it was really hot here. With
the temperature at 93 and no fans, there is
no way to get air into the radiator. I was
down by the lake and we were shoveling water
on top of the radiator to try to get it to
cool down, but we just overheated and had
to stop.”
Bradbury suffered similar issues in the Pro
Class race. While driving through the field
after fixing a broken axle, his fan stopped
working again.

“I was settled in into fourth, and we broke
a brand new axle,” said Bradbury. “I came
out a lap down, got past some people and got
back on the lead lap. The car just started
overheating on the last two laps. The fan
stopped working. I got points, but not as
much as I wanted. We’ll work on the fan issue
and we’ll have it sorted out for the next
race.”
The Bradco Team will be back in contention
as WORCS heads to Sand Hollow in Utah, April
15-17.
