El Cajon, CA (9/18/2014) - 417 Motorsports’ Josh Row rounded out the top five in the Pro ATV class at round number eight of the 2014 WORCS series at Glen Helen Raceway this past weekend.
The hot weather wreaked havoc on many as temps soared to 111 degrees out on the course. The heat caused many racers to not even race, but Josh Row braved the tough conditions in the Pro ATV class.

While much of the Pro class was caught off guard by a course routing mishap, Row saw what was going on and was able to get around the back up and move into the number three spot early in the first lap.
“My Curtis Sparks motor was running strong, and I was in third when I saw Dustin Nelson off to the side, so that put me in second. Beau Baron was behind me, and I tried to hold him off as long as possible, but he was on a mission and I went back to third,” said Row.

It looked as if Row would take home a podium finish, but at the midway point of the race, Row began having transmission issues and when he stopped to pit, the gears locked up and he was forced to call it a day and take a fifth place finish.
“About two laps before I was supposed to pit for gas, I lost third gear and when I stopped for gas, it just locked up and that was it,” said Row.
With one more race to go, Josh Row is sitting comfortably in third place in series points with 161 points, which is 21 points ahead of fourth place and only five points behind second. There is a good chance that Row could take over second in series points if all goes well for the final round.
“I’m really excited for Primm. I love that kind of riding, and I am hoping to be on the podium and maybe step up in points,” said Row.
