Brashear, TX (8/21/05) -
The 2005 FMF Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals Pro Champion
will be determined at Bullet Speedway in Brashear, Texas,
on October 1st rather than September 24th as earlier
announced because
Hurricane
Rita has forced the date change.
Tim Farr, riding Honda, currently leads the series
with Darin Ogden, also on a Honda, trailing by 8 points.
Yamaha rider Keith Little is only 2 points behind
Ogden so this will be the race of the season.
This will be the second year for Bullet Speedway to
host the FMF Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals. Bullet
Speedway received rave reviews on the exciting track
layout last year, with an over-and-under split lane
that give riders an option for passing and adds excitement
for the spectators.
The gates open at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 29.
TT practice is set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday,
September 30, under the lights. Saturday, October
1, features practice starting at 8:30 a.m. with heats
and mains to follow. Pro and Pro-Am practice is at
5:30 p.m. Pro and Pro-Am heats will start at 7 p.m.
All racing is scheduled for Saturday. Sunday, October
2, is reserved as a rain date.
There will be a pit bike race at half time.
