BCS Performance's Ronnie Higgerson Third Briarcliff MX
Josh Creamer Top Ten in ATV Motocross Pro Class

West Springfield, MA (6/18/2014) - Can-Am/BCS Performance’s Ronnie Higgerson finished sixth overall on Saturday at the Ford Tough Briarcliff MX ATV National while Josh Creamer rounded out the top ten in the pro class, and Higgerson wrapped up the weekend by claiming a spot on the Pro-Am podium on Sunday.

The BCS Performance team was greeted by a new facility for round five of the series. Briarcliff MX offered plenty of high speed action, good dirt and good jumps. The track suited Ronnie Higgerson well as he had one of the best races of his pro career.

Ronnie Higgerson went 5-7 to earn sixth overall, tying his best Pro Class finish this year

Higgerson got off to a great start in moto one, and took over the lead by the end of the first lap. Higgerson held the lead for three laps before came under fire and fell back to a still impressive fifth place finish. “I came out second in the first pro moto and got a pass early on and was able to lead for several laps. It felt great to be out front like that and run with those guys in the top five. It gives me confidence to know I can do it and lets them know I can do it as well,” said Higgerson.

In moto two, Higgerson grabbed the holeshot and was running in the top three for most of the moto; however, he had plenty of company nipping at his heels. Higgerson eventually crossed the finish line in seventh place, giving him sixth overall for the day.  “In the second pro moto, I got second in the holeshot again and then I was running in third for half of the race. BCS Performance has this Can-Am rippin’. It was a high speed track and that’s what I like and it just made it a really great weekend for me. I really can’t thank everyone enough for helping me do it,” said Higgerson.

Josh Creamer was not as fortunate as Higgerson in his motos. Just before the first pro moto was to start, a rare mechanical issue surfaced that required and engine swap. “The team worked really hard and got everything swapped in under 20 minutes, but I was three laps down by the time I got out there,” said Creamer who ended up with a 16th place finish in moto one.

Moto two also saw its share of difficulties for Creamer. “Since I had last gate pick, I was stuck way out on the end and the last two gates didn’t drop all the way and me and another guy got hung up on it on the start,” Creamer explained.

Despite the complication, Creamer charged hard and worked his way up to sixth place before crossing the finish line. “I just put my head down and started picking guys off. I’m looking forward to the next round; hopefully we will be on the podium,” said Creamer.

In the Pro-am class, Ronnie Higgerson claimed his fourth straight podium finish, which has him leading the championship points.  In the first moto, Higgerson held the fourth spot from start to finish, but he rebounded in moto two, by grabbing the early lead, but fell back when he hit a rut. Higgerson was able to recover and claim the third spot on the final lap for a spot on the podium.

“In the second moto, I had a great start and was leading, but I ended up hitting a rut and a couple of guys got around me. I made it back into third and I got together with Cam Covil and I took him out. I feel really bad about it, and I hope he’s ok. I don’t want to see anyone get hurt. I would much rather be off the podium than see anyone get hurt,” said Higgerson.

Round six of the AMA ATV Motocross Championships heads to Millville, MN for the Mt. Dew Spring Creek ATV National on June 28-29 where the BCS Performance team will be going for the podium.
