Lake Havasu, AZ (4/3/2014) - The WORCS Racing Series headed to beautiful Lake Havasu, AZ for the third stop of the nine round series. Despite the high temperatures, a sunny sky with a light breeze greeted almost 80 SxS drivers for one of the toughest races on the circuit. Among the mix was Blingstar / Polaris RZR drivers Clint Roberts & Nick Nelson who took on the elusive rocky track on the shores of Lake Havasu.
Blingstar / Polaris Clint Roberts, team owner and racer, got off to a great start at WORCS Racing round three in his Polaris RZR XP 1000. Roberts began to chase down first place position in his row and would hold his position until he experienced some steering issues.

“I was second off the Holeshot and ran the pace with everyone and held my spot. The leader kind of got away from me in a dusty section, but I was able to hold my position for about two laps. I ended up getting something stuck in my right front wheel, which slowed me down, and I had to stop. I reversed it and got going again. I ended up finding out I broke by steering rack, so I limped in for the last two laps”, said Clint Roberts
“All the crew at JRi Shocks got our suspension all dialed in and we are pretty pumped about our suspension set up. This race track is so brutal to these SXS’s so I was pumped to be running the new Lonestar Racing OEM replacement radius rods. I was also very impressed how our DWT tires were hooking up on the sandy/rocky course. The Polaris RZR XP 1000 impresses me more and more, every race and is by far the best SxS to take to the track to race competitively”, explained Clint Roberts.

Blingstar / Polaris RZR XP 900 racer, Nick Nelson, also ran into some issues at Lake Havasu. Nelson was off to a great start and would begin making a hard charge towards the front of the pack and catching up to the rows that started in front of him. Unfortunately, Nelson would run into some mechanical issues on the third lap putting an end to his race for the day.
“Practice went well, the track was a little rough and we played with the shock settings with JRi to get dialed in for the race. I started in the back row and I passed everybody in that row except for one racer. I was working my up through the pack and then I ran into motor issues on the third lap”, stated Nick Nelson of his hard charge toward the front of the pack.
“The suspension was working really well and my DWT tires hooked up awesome in the rocky terrain and I didn’t have any flats” said Nick Nelson
