Hetrick battled back from the sixth-place position in each moto to earn two, top-three moto finishes. His 2-3 score was good for second overall on the weekend and gave him a 13-point cushion over third with three rounds remaining.

“My Can-Am worked awesome. This was one of the roughest tracks so far. This has been a good season and I am going to try to get on the podium,” said Hetrick. “I was second in qualifiers and didn’t quite get the starts I wanted, but I went to work and got second overall.”

Two other Can-Am DS 450 Pros also made a run at the Pro class podium in Josh Creamer (BCS Performance / Can-Am) and Jeffrey Rastrelli (JB Racing / Cheerwine / Can-Am). Creamer came out of the gate in second place in moto one, but ended up taking third. After a mid-pack start in moto two, Creamer picked off three other racers on his way to fourth. His 3-4 score was good for fourth overall. Rastrelli, who earned his first-career ATVRiders.com Top Qualifier Award earlier in the day, took fourth in the first moto and then started moto two in second. By lap two, he took over the lead and held it for three laps. After a bobble on a difficult downhill section, Rastrelli lost the lead, but rallied to take fifth in moto two to earn fifth overall, matching a season’s best.
