Menasha, WI – Fantasy Moto will
be hosting it’s first ever AMA National Championship
event as the 2006 AMA Amateur National Ice Racing Championships
roll into Waverly Beach in Menasha, Wisconsin on February
24-26, 2006
Promoting a true National Championship has been a
goal of the company since our conception back in 1998.
Although an ice race was not our initial thought for
promoting a championship, we feel it is a great opportunity,
which through hard work and efforts could present
us with the opportunity to promote ATV Nationals.
The heart of Fantasy Moto is to provide racers with
the ultimate riding experience and rewards, just as
we would want if we were racing ourselves. This basic
principle has served our clientele and has provided
an outlet for growth throughout the past 7 years.
The Kold Kutter Shootout will return in 2006 with
a guaranteed purse of $2500 plus 100% of the entry
fees for that class.
Waverly Beach is a Mecca of activity in the winter
months with on-shore facilities that are second to
none. There has always been a practice track plowed
near the shoreline. In fact, the 2005 60cc National
Dirt-track Champion Jacob Cunningham and his father
Matt maintained a track at Waverly Beach in 2004-2005
that helped Jacob sharpen his skills all winter long.
“It’s amazing, the last time this race
came to Wisconsin was in Eagle River a few years back.
There were people from all over the country. In my
opinion, ice racing is bigger than ever, especially
with the success of the CWIRA (Central Wisconsin Ice
Racing Association) circuit” states Joel Janssen
of Janssen Racing.
Within the next few weeks, Fantasy Moto will be offering
online pre-registration. The local Chamber of Commerce
and Visitors and Conventions Bureau is also compiling
a list of hotels that will offer discounted rates
for event participants and spectators. All details
for the race, including times, classes, prices, directions,
entertainment attractions and lodging will be posted
at www.fantasymoto.com in the upcoming weeks.
