Lynden, WA (12/15/2014) - The final round of the
2014 BITD series took place December 6th outside Jean, NV as the
skies opened up for a perfect day for the Henderson 250. New for this
event, the UTVs would line up with the truck classes and take to two
80 mile laps. The #1934 of Coastal/Holz Racing started from the 7th
row with Scott Kiger behind the wheel and Mark Holz holding down
co-driving duties for this final race.
The conditions were perfect, with a little rain the day before and
bright blue skies, the Holz/Coast Polaris RZR XP 1000 was ready to
get on course and end the season strong.

With the first lap underway the #1934 made quick work and made it’s
way to second place physical and first on time. Pulling into the main
pit ahead of Craig Scanlon and the #1931 Jagged X car, the Holz/
Coastal stopped for a quick gas stop and was back on course, ready to
run down the last 80 miles. Out of the main pit, and back to race pace,
the #1934 was able to pass Brandon Schueler in the #1919 Jagged X
Polaris RZR for first physical and first on time at race mile 20.
Once the pass was made, Kiger and Holz were in clean air, driving
their own race and hoping to find another car between them and the
#1919 Jagged X Polaris. Having done everything they could, working
through traffic, taking the lead and hoping for a little good luck.

“It’s amazing to think that it comes down to one spot at the final race
of the year, that makes the difference of who gets crowned champion.
Hundreds of miles coming down to one extra place.” said Scott Kiger.
And, at the checkers it was the #1934 taking the win, but ultimately
having to settle for second place in the championship hunt.
“We come out to win. We build a car capable of it, and we’ve got a
great team of sponsors and crew that have that same goal. We had a
great run today and want to thank Polaris for providing a great platform
like the RZR XP, the guys at Walker Evans for the most capable
shocks in the sport, GBC for a tire that performed flawlessly today
and Utendorfer Graphic Design for keeping the car looking good.”
said Mark Holz.
Next up, RJ Anderson and Beau Baron will be busy getting ready for
the 2015 WORCS season in their HRP/Polaris RZR XP 1000s.
