JB Racing / Can-Am's Jeffrey Rastrelli Wins High Point ATV MX
Jeffrey Rastrelli Wins Pro-Am Class at ATV Motocross Round 3
East Springfeild, PA (5/21/2014) - The JB Racing / Cheerwine Team had a great weekend at the third round of the Mtn. Dew ATV MX National Championship held at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Florida team member, Jeffery Rastrelli, claimed the Pro-Am win and the rest of the team put down solid motos and gained valuable points in their classes.
Friday morning Rastrelli joined fellow Pro rider, John Natalie, at a local radio station to promote the upcoming race. They gave listeners an idea of what would be happening during the weekend, their views of the outlay and condition of the track and that RacerTV would be doing a live broadcast of the race. This was a great opportunity for both competitors to promote the sport and get some “on air” exposure.
Rastrelli earned the third fastest lap time during Saturday’s timed Pro qualifiers. He had a great run going with a 7th place finish for moto one. In moto two, he had his sights set on challenging for the fourth place position when an issue sidelined him ending his hopes of a top five finish.

Sunday was the prettiest day of the weekend and Rastrelli was determined to put his Can-Am up front. He laid down two impressive motos with a score card of 1-1 in the Pro Am class. Rastrelli was late off the line in moto one, but quickly made his way through the pack. He laid down the fastest lap of the moto on lap four, a quick 01:38.394. He was then able to take over the lead on lap six. He took the win by 04.294. Rastrelli repeated his win in moto two, giving him the overall for the round.

“The track was great on Sunday. We had some rain and it really helped it. I had a great time in the Pro-Am class. I am pumped to get my first win of the season,” regarded Rastrelli after the race.
Tyler Peters claimed sixth in the Schoolboy Sr. class after scoring 9-4 on the round. Peters didn’t have the best starts and had to battle each moto to claim his spot. Peters currently holds third in the Schoolboy Sr. class.

“I am happy to still be in the top three of the class. I’m going to continue riding and work on my starts over the next few weeks. The JB team has been great this season, and I am excited to get to round four and see what we can do,” said Peters.
Blake Sarver finished fifth overall in the Schoolboy Sr. class. Sarver went 4-8 in the motos.

“My JB Racing 400 was awesome. My ITP tires really hooked up on the rough track and I really enjoyed the race,” said Sarver.
Maddison Guyer claimed third in the Girls Sr. Shifter and Schoolgirl classes. Maddison was unable to ride to her highest potential due to what she thought was a pulled muscle in her shoulder. Unfortunately, her doctor has determined that her collar bone is broken and she will be unable to race the remainder of the season due to the injury. Brogan Guyer had to miss the round due to a broken arm that he suffered while practicing with his team. Brogan’s arm is broken in five places, and unhappily he will also have to miss the remainder of the season.
“We love being a part of the JB Racing team, but sadly, our season has come to an end. In seven years of racing Maddison and Brogan have been fortunate and neither have suffered any broken bones, unfortunately, we were hit hard this season and both kids will be taking time off to heal. We want to thank the entire JB Racing team for all of their help and support,” said Missy Guyer, Maddison and Brogan’s mother.
Logan Peters, the youngest member of the team, took third in the 50 Single Speed class after finishing second and fourth in his motos. Grayson Eller claimed fourth in the Schoolboy Sr. class with a scorecard of 3-7 on his JB race machine. Duck Lloyd pulled off a fourth place in the Open A class. He followed up a disappointing tenth in moto one with the win in moto two for an incredible come back and proved that he has the speed to run up front.
The JB Racing Team will return to the gate in a few weeks at the AMSOIL ATV Showdown in Walnut, Illinois. The round will be held Saturday May 31st – Sunday June 1st.
