Parker, AZ (1/16/2014) - The season has officially began for the Team UXC Driven Powersports teams west cost effort in the wide open off road of Parker Arizona. This past weekend the newly announced Factory Polaris riders took on the wild rocky dust in Parker to finish second in their first event aboard the new 2014 Polaris Scrambler 1000.
Drawing the number one starting spot was a gift from above as the vast majority of the field were sport machines. This did not matter to Swift though as they would have to catch and pass the big Polaris Scrambler 1000 if they wanted to win. Leaving the starting line at 8am and leading the race to the 60 mile mark on the first lap Michael Swift felt his machine had what it would take to get the job done and finish up front.

“The last 12 miles or so were probably the worst and getting through this section safely meant I had to slow up more than I would have liked to in order to be safe. Our Polaris Scrambler 1000 had plenty of power and the kind of forward thrust that was not over bearing to handle during the hours of endless riding,” says Swift.
Swift would hand over the machine to Don Higbee on the second lap and Higbee maintained the second place position for the next 79 mile loop. Swift would then remount the bright white Polaris Scrambler to bring it on home for a solid second place.

“Taking a nearly stock machine and putting it on the podium in the expert class of mostly sport machines was something we were very proud of. This just lets us know the caliber of machine we have in the Scrambler 1000.” Needless to say these guys are very satisfied with the performance of their machines as well as themselves. “The hard work, dedication to the goals set for our race team have begun to prove themselves and we hope to just keep rolling forward from here. There is no way I could have completed this event without my team mate and Driven Powersports backing us. Their solid planning and preparation of the machine made the difference” says Swift. The west coast duties for Team UXC Driven Powersports are handled by Don Higbee and the Driven Powersports dealer-ship out of Casper Wyoming.
