Shelbyville, TN (5/14/2014) - Heading into this second points round of the
Best In The Desert race series the Driven
power sports Team UXC racing crew had
their work cut out for them. Arriving to the
Aliante Station Resort the number 440
Polaris Scrambler 1000 would be in a solid
second place for points and hoping to
broaden that gap with this race. With rumors
of a high speed course the team of Don
Higbee and Michael Swift began to strategize
their moves to get this machine on the
podium.

The race would begin at 6:02 am for Michael
Swift aboard the 2014 Polaris Scrambler
1000 after a second position start draw. “We
wanted to get out front and make plenty of
dust for the teams behind us so we could
build a good strong lead” says Swift.

Somewhere near race mile 48 a drive issue
developed, which slowed the number 440
quad. This would set this Driven Power
Sports - UXC racing team back an hour.
Swift was able to get underway once again
yet similar unforeseen problems reared up
again keeping the machine at a slower pace
than desired.
Overall the race team was able to salvage a
solid fifth place and many valuable points.
This will keep their Polaris Scrambler in the
hunt at the next race. “We look forward to
the Vegas to Reno round in august and look
forward to putting the Scrambler up front”
Says Higbee.

Always in good spirits the team of Don
Higbee and Michael Swift will assuredly find
the issues that kept them behind and make
improvements to control this minor issue.
“Looking forward to the future is all we can
do and we know we have a championship
winning machine under us,” stated Swift
and stepping over obstacles is nothing new
for these seasoned racers, as they have
tasted the championship feast before.
Getting ready to race the Baja 500 is priority
now as they put this one to bed.
