Ronnie Higgereson Joins Vechery Racing

Hiram, OH (9/26/2014) - Vechery Racing is proud to announce their return to AMA ATV Pro racing in 2015 with a two rider pro team. Scott and Gloria Vechery would like to welcome 2013 and 2014 Pro-Am runner up and 2014 8th OA Pro Ronnie Higgerson to the team. Higgerson has had an impressive run the past few years and is excited to join the team.

“I'd like to thank Scott, Gloria and Scottie for this great opportunity they have given me and without them I wouldn't have been racing in 2015. I'm really excited about joining the Vechery racing team for 2015. Not only are we great friends but I think we'll make a great partnership for the 2015 ATV MX national season. Their bikes are great machines, run the best parts out there and have proven themselves in the past seasons. My training will be taken to the next level this off season and look for these Vechery racing Hondas to be out front a lot next year!” exclaimed Higgerson.

In addition to Higgerson long time Vechery rider Tim Dettling is poised to make a full time return to the AMA ATV Pro class as well as Pro-Am after two seasons of unfortunate injuries.

“I spent most of the winter training down south at the Pafford compound prior to the opener in Georgia this year and really felt like I had recovered from my injuries from 2013. Unfortunately I suffered another crash that left my other leg fractured. I’m really fortunate to have the support from the Vechery’s and our sponsors and am very excited for this upcoming season” said Dettling.

Vechery Racing amateur racer Scottie Vechery will once again race a few select rounds of the series but will put most of his attention on mechanic duties for both pro riders.

“We are very excited to have Tim and Scottie back to full health and out on the track riding from where they were at earlier in the year. The addition of Ronnie will be great for the team and will allow Tim and Ronnie to push each other throughout the year. 2015 preparations have already begun on the new race bikes as well as our new race shop. Jake and Six 5 Designs are on board for another run at a title and we are hoping to finalize the rest of our sponsorships for 2015 here soon. We were lucky enough to get a large amount of support from Elka Suspension and Maxxis tires for 2014 and hope to continue that relationship for 2015 and beyond.  Thanks again to all of our 2014 sponsors and Daniel Owens from Number One ATV for all the great team photos as we could not support a professional team without you!” said Gloria Vechery.
