Phoenix, AZ (10/23/2014) - Lonestar Racing / JRi Suspension's David Flores finished the 2014 WORCS season on a high note topping the Pro-am podium, and taking home the Production A Championship.
For the final round of the season, the quads and bikes raced at the same time, which brought about exceptionally rough conditions, luckily, David Flores was up for the challenge and looking good.

Flores had a good start in the number three spot. By the second lap, he had worked his way into second place and was chasing down the leader. Once Flores caught up to the leader, they began to battle. “Mike Sloan and I were going back and forth, but my Goldspeed tires hooked up so well, I was able to get the traction I needed and get around him and pull away,” explained Flores.

Once out front, Flores clocked the fastest lap of the race with a time of 11:14.57 in the third lap, and began to pull a nice gap between him and the rest of the pack. Flores rode the rest of the nine-lap race unchallenged for an easy final round win.
“This was the first race that I really felt relaxed at and not too nervous. It was just how I was hoping to end the season. My Lonestar suspension and Goldspeed tires worked awesome out there and it couldn't have been any better. I can't thank my sponsors and everyone enough for all of their support this year, I couldn't have done it without them,” said Flores.
Saturday's Production A class went well for Flores even though he didn't get the start he was looking for, but he was able to work his way into third and hold that position all the way to the checkered flag. Flores' impressive performance all season gave him his second consecutive Production A championship. “I won the Production A championship again and that makes me feel really good. I had a great season!” said Flores.

As far as next season is concerned, David Flores plans to keep a similar program. “I plan to run Production A and Pro-am again next season and try for a championship in both classes,” said Flores.
The first round of the 2015 WORCS series will kick off on January 16-18th at Honolulu Hills in Taft, CA where David Flores will be returning to defend his Production A Championship, and go for the Pro-am title as well.
