Washington, GA
(3/15/2014) – Walker Fowler grabs
his first GNCC Racing win of the season in round
two of Maxxis General GNCC racing today at Aonia
Pass MX in Washington, Georgia. Taking second
place and his first podium finish of the season
was Adam McGill with Chris Borich rounding out
the GNCC Pro XC 1 ATV Podium in third.
The second round of Maxxis General GNCC series
greeted racers with a track that was very
rough in the woods, but luckily much dryer
than round one at The Mud Mucker in Florida.

The number one spot went to Walker Fowler
today who remained fairly unchallenged the
last half of the race. Starting second after
the holeshot , it didn’t take long for Fowler
to find first after only a third of the way
through lap one, and he held it all the way
to the checkered flag for the win, which moves
Fowler into a tie for the points lead with
Chris Borich after two rounds of racing.

line to take the win with over a minute
to spare on second place to tie Chris

lead

“I went into the woods in first and ran smart
and smooth all day even though I had a few
mistakes and some bad lines. I about threw
it away on the last lap. That last quarter
mile always seems to bite me although there
wasn’t much I could mess up this time. This
Moto-Xperts motor and these Maxxis tires helped
me almost get the holeshot and lead the rest
of the race today,” said Fowler after the
win.

McGill grabbed the $250 Twin Air/DeRisi
Racing XC1 Holeshot Award

Second place went to Adam McGill today after
grabbing the holeshot, but he was passed for
the lead. McGill shadowed Fowler for the first
couple laps as the pair battled for the lead,
but in the end, McGill finished just over
a minute behind Fowler in the second spot,
which he will take with a smile. After finishing
sixteenth in Florida, these results are what
McGill likes to see.

“The Baldwin motor with the DirtWorks 24
volt kit fired right up. I went for the holeshot
and then Walker got around me and we ran together
most of the day. When we pitted, I ran into
traffic and he got away from me, so I ran
the same pace the rest of the race the best
as I could. Chris and I ran together for a
while but he hit the creek jump and stalled
it. I thought he was way behind me, but at
the finish he was right there, so he must
have gotten it going,” said Mcgill after the
race.
