(9/24/2014) - The GNCC Racing Series made its eleventh stop this past weekend at Mountain Ridge also known as Somerset for some. It has been two years since the GNCC Racing Series has hosted an event at this location, which lays adjacent to the Flight 93 9/11 National Memorial.
The racing action was just as intense as years past with many rocks, mud, hill climbs, and dust that added yet another challenging element to this grueling track. In the morning race, spectators saw Robert Smith earn the win in the Pro 4x4 Class, Angel Knox winning the Women’s class, and Cody Collier earning the top spot on the School Boy 13-15 podium.
Earning his second win of the season in the GNCC Racing Pro 4x4 Class was Robert Smith on his Can-Am Renegade. Smith lead all four laps to bring home the win, which also gave him a boost in points. Smith sits third in the GNCC Racing Pro 4x4 Class points.
