The Thunder on the Mountain MAXC was hosted on a pristine 7,500-acre piece of property on the eastern side of Kentucky. Racers that made the drive were greeted with one, if the not best and most unique tracks in the 10 round racing series. The track featured a near eight-mile course with many elevation changes, high-speed field sections, tight technical woods, creek runs and crossings, and even a waterfall that racers climbed down.
Brycen Neal was among the top three heading into the first corner. Neal took over the lead halfway through the first lap after Taylor Kiser wrecked. It was then a battle between Brycen Neal and Marshal Goings for the lead as the pair battled back and forth. Neal’s lead was secured after Goings experienced some mechanical issues and fell out of the race leaving Neal to charge ahead to finish just over a minute a head of second place.

“The track was really good today and we had an awesome start. In the early part of the race we were all together Marshall, me and him [Taylor Kiser] after the first lap were all neck-to-neck. I then noticed he [Marshal Goings] stopped in the pits and then I just rode my own race,” stated Brycen Neal

Taylor Kiser got off to a great start in the MAXC Pro ATV Class by grabbing the Holeshot and the early lead. By the end of lap one however, Kiser dropped back to fifth place after he ran into a tree. Kiser then had his work cut out for him to catch back up with the front-runners. This would be no easy task as the track was quickly becoming very dusty. By lap three, Kiser was able to catch back up and moved into second where he would finish the four-lap race.

“The race was pretty good. We got off to a good start and I was out front for half the first lap before I hit a little tree and Brycen [Neal] and everybody got by. After that, I had to work by way through everybody and fight the dust and I ended up in second. Over all it was a great track and it had a great mix of things,” said Taylor Kiser
