North Branch, MN (9/18/2014) – Rounds
three and four of the 2014 Mystic Lubricants Terracross
Championship saw Cindi Hart and Jami Ward Luburgh
take wins in the Women’s Pro class while Brain
Strane claimed top honors for both rounds in the
Pro-am class.
The Terracross Championship is one of only a few series’ to include a Women’s class in the SxS races and some of the battles in that class have been epic and they have definitely been a huge draw for spectators as well. Unlike the Pro Polaris RZR class, the Women’s and Pro-am classes are not “spec” classes so all of the machines were set up differently for those classes, but the competition was still very close.
For round three, #55 Cindi Hart jumped out to the early lead with co-pilot Doug Gust. Hart rode for several laps before #525, driven by Jami Luburgh caught up. Luburgh pressured Hart and was able to slip by and took over the lead.

It looked as if Luburgh would cruise to victory, but a drive belt failure in the final lap allowed Cindi Hart to retake the lead and bring home the Women’s Pro win for round three.

Trea Behrendt was in a close second off the start and was staying close to the leader, but she was soon under fire from a charging Jami Luburgh. Behrendt and Luburgh battled intensely for several laps before Luburgh went for the pass on the under/over jump, but due to Luburgh’s mechanical misfortune, Behrendt was able to reclaim second for a podium finish.
