2014 Terracross Championship
SxS Racing - Round 5
Dana Creech Wins, Doug Gust
& Jason Luburgh Podium
Charlotte, NC (9/23/2014) – For round five of the Mystic Lubricants Terracross Championships series held at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Coldcock Whiskey’s Dana Creech claimed his second win of the season in the Pro RZR SxS class with Doug Gust and Jason Luburgh rounding out the top three on the podium.
The final double header of the six round Terracross racing series was held in conjunction with the Charlotte Auto Fair, which is one of the biggest car shows in the state. “We are all about racing out here and to have the Terracross series here in addition to the Auto Fair has been great. Over the course of the four days, we have about 100,000 people in attendance, so to have Terracross with the auto show is something extra we can bring to the event,” said Matthew Greci, the Director of Events at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The track was laid out just outside of the NASCAR track, where lawnmower races are usually held, but Dana Creech, Jason Luburgh and Tim Wyatt, designed an incredible track once again and took it to the next level. Included were the signature over under jump, a three lane rhythm section, a high speed pavement section, and a double jump in front of the grand stands. It was the fastest and longest track of the year and provided great opportunities for passing and high speed action for spectators.

XM Radio’s Jason Ellis returned for rounds five and six and he was much more prepared than his last showing, and qualified for both events, even though he had to borrow a car to compete in the final round. “The first race was definitely a crash course and this time I have learned a lot, so it has gone much better. This is a really great series and I am excited to be a part of it,” said Ellis.

The weather was great after the rain moved out Thursday night. The sun came out the next day and dried out the track to near perfect conditions for the Pro races.
In the Pro main event, UTV’s were lined up three wide on the start with Jason Luburgh, Dana Creech and Hans Ada on the front row. The start was a bit different as everyone had to stay in their lane for the first part of the race, which helped to reduce the number of red flags.
