Mickey Thomas &
Matt Hancock Top Three at Terracross
::Continued::
Mystik’s Mickey Thomas had his own share of issues
during the season. He led nearly every race this
year at one time or another. Though he didn’t
win an event, he did finish on the podium twice
this season.

Mystik's
Mickey Thomas scored a 2nd Place finish
in Round 4 at Jacksonville, NC

“It was a tough weekend,” explained Thomas. “We
got second, which is one place better than last
year. We wanted to take that number one plate
away from Jason, and we were there, but we kept
overheating. A lot of people had the same problems,
especially in the mud.”

Open Trial’s Matthew Hancock was a last-minute
addition to the Terracross field. He found out
he was racing just two days before the season
opener at Hay Days in Minnesota. He had the most
success on the final weekend, scoring a runner-up
finish as well as two thirds.

Matthew Hancock
really stepped up his game in the season
finale tripleheader to claim 3 podium
finishes
|
“I have to thank Harlen Foley, ATVRiders.com,
Joe Duncan and Open Trail for the opportunity
to race this year,” said Hancock. “I got a last-minute
call from Harlen two days before the last race.
I took a red eye. I got to Hay Days and it was
an event like I’d never seen before. I went home
after Hay Days frustrated. So I came out here
and after I had some problems in practice, I put
my head down and I felt really good in the car.
These RZRs took it like a champ. I just stayed
consistent. The track kept getting better and
better.”

Matthew Hancock's
