Typically you lose three percent power per 1,000 ft in elevation and we could tell the lack of oxygen was taking hold of the Teryx4 engine as well as ourselves, but the machine pressed on and handled the ride very well.

The Paiute Trail System offered many breath taking view of Mt Belknap and the surrounding area between Beaver & Marysvale, Utah |
Even at the extreme high elevation, that most Teryx4 owners would never see, the Kawasaki Teryx4 still has plenty of power and it was surprisingly still very responsive and had no issues climbing anything on the trail.

We reached our destination just before sunset and made camp at the Hoover’s Restaurant, RV Park, and Cabins in Marysvale, Utah |
Several hours later, we arrived at Hoover’s Restaurant, RV Park, and Cabins in the small town of Marysvale, Utah. We stayed in cottages spread out along the Sevier River, and after a delicious dinner we hit the hay, so we would be fresh for the drive back to Beaver the next morning.

Hoover’s Cabins were a nice place to rest up for our second half of our adventure ride. The cabins feature a full kitchen, fire pit, satellite TV / DVD, & comfortable beds

The LED headlights worked great
at lighting up the trail before sunrise |
Before sunrise the next morning, we headed out for quick drive up Gold Mountain to catch the sunrise, and get a chance to test out the new LED headlights, which worked awesome at lighting up the trail. When we reached the top of the trail that connected with the Paiute main trail at over 10,000 feet, we thought we would get a great view of the sunrise, but instead we witnessed something that made our adventure drive even more memorable.
