Polaris used a new foam membrane in the seats that deflects water from entering the foam & making them heavy

In the past, the seats in all Polaris RZR models would soak up water like a sponge and would not release the water thus creating heavy seats. The new membrane and two-tone upholstery ensures the seats will not soak up water and become heavy. In addition, Polaris designed both driver and passenger seats to be adjustable. The seats can be slid forward or backward and can be tilted manually depending on the passengers preferences. The seat design is comfortable and wraps around the contour of your body so that you feel very secure while driving.

An all-new dash design was also incorporated into the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV. The LED backlit display features a Speedometer, Odometer, Tripmeter, Tachometer, Service Indicator, Clock, Gear Indicator, Fuel Gauge, and more.

Maintenance on 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV was not just an after thought; it was a main aspect when the engineers came together to design this new machine.  Ease of maintenance on the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV comes down to easy accessibility to some of crucial parts of the SxS including oil filter, clutch belt, and air filter. Polaris moved the engine back toward the rear of the machine to give the customer and / or mechanics easy access to these key elements. The oil filer can be accessed by quickly removing a panel between the seats. The 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV also features a new air filter design that uses an air filter cartridge that is very similar to what comes on farm or heavy work equipment.  The air filer cartridge is located just above the rear rack between the seats and there are no tools needed to change the filter.

The swaybar on the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS is prone to bending if driving aggressively, but it is any easy fix by purchasing an aftermarket swaybar

The only real issue we found after we put 60 miles on the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 was the rear sway bar. After our trail ride, we found the bolts on the sway bar had loosened up and the sway bar actually bent. It is the same design that comes standard on the RZR lineup, but we feel that it needs stiffened up if you are driving aggressively. There are many aftermarket companies that offer sway bars for the RZR lineup and we are sure there will be one available shortly to fill this void.

Overall we were extremely impressed by the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV. From the powerful 107 horsepower ProStar engine to the industry exclusive Position Sensitive Anti-Bottoming Needle Shocks paired with superior handling and braking, we felt it was a blast to drive. We feel both racers and trail goers will love all the great features that the 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS / UTV brings to the table.
