Clutch lever??

I just bought a Fly racing adjustable clutch lever today. After I put it on I noticed a lot of play in the wheel adjuster and the clip that the cable rests in. Has anyone else had this problem or did I possibly get a defect.

Just to add. My buddy got the Works Connection and his has no play in it at all.

when i put my pep ez clutch on i had to adjust it at the bottom by the lever. loosen the two nuts and adjust away from pivot lever down by the clutch for more adustment and toward it for less adjustment.
