Does anyone know where the cop/doughnut stereotype came from.

Stereotype? It's the truth, I've seen it in action!

me to. one mornin before school i rode with some of my friends. they wanted to stop at the doughnut place on the way to school. so they stopped, went in, and i waited in the truck. well while i was waiting i saw one cop drive up and parked there. i thought he was shooting radar or something. but then i saw another cop come up n go park by the other one. then i saw another cop come up and park to the other 2. then they all 3 got out there cars and went and ate dougnuts :p

the only place that was open at the wee hours of the morning were donut places. they would be open to make the donuts, and thus led to the local police force having a place to grab a snack..a cup of coffee and gab with fellow officers.
