i got a 04 400ex and i took the lid off the air box for some more power of course but then i was reading that i may need to change my jets or could mess up the motor by running to lean. everything is stock but i need to know what jets i have to change and what size i should put in. also was thinking about removing the choke because i read that will make a difference also. thanks

Dude, i was in your spot yesterday, i got a 04' too, i found out that a 152 main jet works perfect. I installed today and damn its faster. I also removed the choke and i heard that you have to change the pilot jet, but im still researching what size it has to be. It runs great now though.
Get a 152 and u'll be flipin out in telling you.

You should try a 40 or a 42 pilot.

i'd do a 42 pilot and about 2-2½ turns out on the fuel screw
