I'm not sure where you got .80 over? but... look at you cylinder if its in decent condition, you can just get it honed, you can do it yourself with a special tool, or pay like under 20$ bucks to have someone else do it. You can hone a bore 3 times usually.
Or if you cylinjder is in bad condition or has more than 3 hones you have to get it bored, and step up to a slightly larger piston.
How many times over is your piston now? .60?
getting it bored is like 35$ I think.

It is stock and i want a larger one without having to resleeve it so i am going to get a 76mm/.80 stock is a 74mm/stnd

well by doing that you'll probably pick up 1 hp, and you will be closer to needing a re-sleeve . that would suck if something went wrong and hurt your cylinder wall and you had no bore left.
Probably the best idea would be to go just .20 over and get a higher compression piston. You'll get more power that way.

well i was thinking about .80 over with a compression of 11:1 what about going .60 over
dont go crazy with the bore,.20 or.40 is plenty.if you blow it down the road you will have a few bores left.if you go .80 now and blow it you will HAVE to resleeve it.the thinner your sleeve gets the more heat you will produce,an oil cooler is not mandatory but would be highly recommended when you start punchin out the 300.also,11.1 with the dome is the piston you want,later...

hey you just need to go .020 oversize on the piston. just like everyone says, if it blows you can just bore the next size up. I would go with a 10:1 piston, you don't have to run 108 octan then just 93. The stock 300 is 8.9:1 I think. the 10:1 should give up a good power boost. That's what I'm planning to do to my 300. :D

dude, jsut go .60 right now with 10 8:1 compression.. that way u can run pump gas(92, 93 octane safely).. 11:1 is pushing it
