Does anyone have one? I'm thinking of getting one, and if nobody has one I thought I might write a review up and post it.

If you have one, what do you think about it?

Consider the new Vapor too. It's got a tach and water temp gauge built in. I believe it was just released.

Yeah, once you get it dialed in right for the tire size its pretty cool and accurate. It reads off the front tire speed that way it is accurate.

I got the video, but I didn't see the shift lights on the one I had! Sweet!

Hey GP, do ya think that instead of using it for water temperature you could use it in your oil reservoir?

I'm not sure. Probably it could be done. It might include needing to tap the oil resevoir for the fitting of a sensor. I believe the 400EX application uses a cylinder head temp sensor similar to this:

It goes between the spark plug and the head.

thats cool you can get a temp gauge for an air cooled rig.

Any idea on the cost, I wanna get one.

how does it measure your speed, does it uses two sensors, or a worm gear/cable thingy.

On my trail tech it has a cable with a sensor on it that you mount on your front brake caliper. You then replace one of the bolts that on the rotor with a magnetic one and it senses the speed.

PS. Thanks for the info GP!

We have had the old style one on our 250ex for almost 5 years now - still works great.

I can't imagine that the head temperaure sensor (ring) that goes around the spark plug threads would last too long on a 400ex.:huh

I'm curious why you think that. I don't really know--I've never used that type of sensor. But what would make it prone to failure?
