my 400ex when it was stock would pull wheelies up and down allday easily now on my modded 400ex it barely pulls up but i know its got power becouse it spins out in 2nd gear on concrete
if anyone else hasc this problem lket me know and how you fixed it i have new holleshots on itxcrs
14t front sprocket*************<------ need a 12 or 13. its geared for more speed and less power now silly.
also, it might just be spinning instead of pulling up like it used to.. try a higher gear maybe?

I don't think so. The LOWEST I would go is a 14 on front. With a 426, you should be able to pull 15/38 easily. You probably have it jetted wrong; most people jet way too rich thinking it's going to give them more power. There are several threads about jetting a 450R carb for the 400ex. I suggest you read through a few of them and see what other people with similar mods are running and how it compares to yours. With a properly built and jetted 426, you should be pulling the front end up with no problem.

with all thats done to mine it still comes up in every gear im still running the stock gearing so thats probably why but there arent many places where i ride to give it a taller gear so its fine by me but i also start my wheelies in first and shift all the way through but it does snap up in all the gears

also,
Displacement has no effect on gearing, in any way.;)
The idea of it spinning is possible though, try a gear higher for traction, or just adjust your body positioning.
Lastly, did you modify suspension at all? ZPS front, or anything?
Post ALL your current specs then maybe someone will be able to give you some direction...
