i checked out a foreman 400 (not sure what year) and the guy wants $750 for it and said the rear end was out and it looked in alright condition the plastic was ruffed up a little but it started fine, does anyone know how much extra a rear end would run, and if new ones are real expensive, how do you go cheaper get it rebuilt or something? sorry for the questions but ive never had a 4x4- with a bad rear end that is.
thanks for info

Dont know how much your parts would be...
but on a side note, wouldnt it be cool if a manufacturer madea ring and pinion sets for ATV's like they do for trucks?
You know, so you could swap the gears out, like going from 4.10's to 4.88's and such.
I've always thought you could make a killing from doing something like that.:)

I think there is a company that is about to start marketing a kit for at least kawasaki 4x4's
