So I'm buying this bike off my friend for $150. Haven't paid him yet.
It's a 1975 (yea its an oldie) Kawasaki Enduro 175CC 2 stroke.
He traded another friend something for the bike.
Now I know the kid who I got the bike from didn't steal it, he is a good kid and I know who he got it from. The other kid, I dunno, I asked if it's stolen and he swears it isn't. Said someone they knew moved and left it in the shed and never took it.
So since it's street legal, Wouldn't mind registering it. But I don't have a title, now I could apply for a title, and if it's reported stolen I'm gonna guess they will take it.
But will I get in any trouble for having bought the bike ? I didn't steal it, and I'm under the assumption it's not stolen, I have the original tool kit and owners manual that came with the bike, it does need some carb work.
So what happens if you try to register a stolen bike that you didn't steal ?
