i have a 04 400 soon to be 416 when i was takeing the valve cover off i brain farted and went the wrong and stripped one of the long bolts on the clutch side (the ones that bolt to the jug) looking for any info to fix this thanks

if it is out at all try to grab it with a vice grip and turn it out, if it is inside try to use an easy out or a reverse drill bit. if you only turned it the wrong way then it should come out relatively easy still with some trying. the easy out would be the best bet then go to the drill bit. if you can get to the end but can not get a vice grip on it grind a notch in it and use a flat head screw driver to get it out that way. good luck, steve

i stripped the threads in the cylinder i have the bolt out

are you talking about head bolts or valve cover bolts? if its the cover bolts just get a metric helicoil set and drill / tap / and HC it. Ive had that happen on my pred and it works out pretty good

its not a head bolt just one of long valve cover bolts that goes through the head and threads into the cylinder

If you just stripped it. take the bolt out and get a thread chaser. problem fixed.

Yeah if you have the bolt out and just stripped the threads just retap the hole and reinstall.
