My girlfriends pet raccoon. She has had it for almost a year now. Her dad will take it out in the woods and just let her run free and when hes ready to go he just calls her name and she comes. Oh and her name is Meiko

thats awesome!
my grandma used to have a pet raccoon, she had it for years and then it got sick. and there were no vets that would help a raccoon because you not allowed to have them here lol...
Cool. I always kinda wanted one, but its very hard to train them not to be nocturnal and they are still a wild animal.
bout the only way you could get one I think is if you find it as a baby, otherwise I doubt it would work.
Still cool :)

My friends neighbor had 2, they would climb up your clothes and sit on your shoulders.

cute and fun when they are little, not so much when they get older.
they get into freaking everything, they are very smart and if you dont keep them busy they will trash everything
they can get mean and they have very sharp teeth too

That thing is adorable. Us small woodland creatures have to stick together.

we had one for a while. they are very smart creatures. yes they can be mean. even if they are fairly tame they are still wild animals, and if you startle them there instinct is defense. the mother got killed and the little ones were to young to run off. nursed them up and let them go.

Had a buddy that had one down at school and it was like a dang cat. They are nice when their young buy boy do they get nasty.
My sisters fiance and his brother had them all the time when they were kids. They'd raise them up but would always seem to go rabid. Then it was time for coon stew. lol
after reading the title i was really dissappointed when it got to the thread
