Just thought I would post this for any of you out there wanting to gain performance for not much money. Attached is a pic of the exhaust tip I made at work for my 250EX. I took the three screws out of the end of my exhaust, that removes the exhaust tip along with the baffling and spark arrester. I then had the round stainless steel plate laser cut and a 2 1/4" OD X 3" length stainless steel pipe tig welded into it. The pipe is turned down a little and about 2 1/2" of it is on the outside. The front part of the muffler still has enough restriction to let it run right. After that I installed a 120 main jet along with a K&N air filter. I have my airbox lid on off about halfway for additional air flow. In my opinion, it now runs great, doesn't feel like the same four wheeler! It's like I gained about one gear, meaning what I could do before in 2nd I can now do in 3rd and so on. It also sounds really good and not real loud. If anyone has questions or would like to see more pics let me know.
