I drilled 6 1" holes behind the filter location. then I covered the holes with fabric I purchased at a local fabric shop. It was the closest thing I could find to the outerwears material. My wife says its the stuff they make wedding dresses out of.
I put a thin layer of 100% silicone around the 1" holes & stretched the fabric tight while it dried............once dry I coated it with Scotchgard spray. (the water just beads up & runs off)
then I stretched a piece of the same fabric under the lid before snapping it into place
then I headed for the water. I roosted, wheelied, jumped & raged through 6"- 1' deep water. Not a drop in the airbox..... :)
Total cost......... 6.00 :)
