AMA Racing Amateur ATV Class Age Clarification
In 2015, the Age to Ride an Amateur ATV Class is 15

Pickerington, Ohio (5/8/2015) - For clarification: In 2015, the age to ride an amateur ATV class is 15. As of Jan. 1, 2016, the age to ride an amateur ATV class will be 16.

The correct implementation date for the rule change regarding the age requirement to race amateur ATV classes, as previously shown in the ATV section of the 2015 online version of the AMA Rulebook in Section 4.1, Paragraph A. f. and Section 4.3, Paragraph E. 3, is Jan. 1, 2016.

Previous online versions of the 2015 AMA Racing Rulebook erroneously listed an implementation date of Jan. 1, 2015. The rule change for 2016 is shown in Section 6.9.

The online rulebook available at www.americanmotorcyclist.com/racing/rules reflects the correct implementation date of 2016.
