GT Thunder A-Arms Return to ATV Four Play

Millersburg, OH ( 6/24/2015) - ATV Four Play, LLC is proud to announce the acquisition of GT Thunder’s Aarm division.

The two Ohio race shops enjoyed a long partnership racing together since 2006, when ATV Four Play started manufacturing their A-arms and their most popular model—the #1231 for the Yamaha YFZ450 carbureted model. But in 2009 GT Thunder opted for a different race line and started producing their products in-house in their Millersburg, Ohio, shop.

“We were very excited to be asked by Brandon Sommers, the son of late GT Thunder founder Laz Sommers, if we would consider taking over their A-arm line,” said Tom Skladzien, founder of ATV Four-Play, LLC. “It was an easy choice to make thanks to our long-time relationship with the Sommers family and the prior business relationship between our two companies. We’re excited to continue to represent the great name of GT Thunder and to support their loyal customers and their next generation of woods racers.”

ATV Four Play will continue to produce the GT Thunder Series A-arms with the same materials and methods as GT Thunder did. ATV Four Play also has developed relationships with some of GT Thunder’s key vendors and will use the same mechanical components in the A-arms. However, the A-arms will adopt ATV Four Play’s preferred and track-proven TIG welding methods.

The first models to be released will be for Yamaha’s XC YFZ450 EFI model. This first run of Aarms will be offered with options for the Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki front-end geometry. Directly following those will be the release of the XC Honda 450 and then the Suzuki LTR versions.

ATV Four Play, LLC will continued to manufacture its own line of suspension components, including their Maximum Ground Clearance (MGC) A-arms, anti-vibe steering stems, signature crushed-tube design swing arms, Soft Bar handle bars, and ATV conversion kits for youth riders. In addition to crafting suspension for their other new division for the UTV industry.
