ITP's Westley Wolfe Takes Another Top Amateur Award

2015 GNCC Racing
Mountaineer Run - Round 7
Ontario, CA (5/29/2015) - Team ITP ATV and SxS racers had another good showing in the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) this past weekend, earning four class wins, the Top Amateur Racer Award in the afternoon and eight additional podiums at the Mountaineer Run event in Masontown, W.Va.

"Our ATV and side-by-side vehicle racers had a pretty decent weekend, earning numerous podiums," said Pat McGuire, Public Relations / Race Support. "Westley Wolfe kept up his winning ways and also captured another amateur award in the afternoon. We also had convincing wins from Dave Simmons and Angel Knox as well as two finishers on the overall UTV podium with Larry Hendershot Jr. and Tim Farr."

Westley Wolfe GNCC Racing

ITP-backed Suzuki racer Westley Wolfe won his class once again and also was awarded with the afternoon session's Top Amateur Finisher Award.

The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run GNCC featured round seven of the ATV series and round three of the GNCC UTV series. ITP racers competed in all three different ATV sessions as well as the UTV segment, earning 12 podiums in all.

Jordan Digby GNCC Racing

Jordan Digby used ITP QuadCross tires on his Yamaha ATV to win the 125 Sr. (12-15) class in West Virginia.

Youth racer Jordan Digby started the morning off for Team ITP by winning the 125 Sr. (12-15) class aboard his Yamaha dressed with ITP QuadCross MX2 front tires and QuadCross XC rear tires. It was Digby's, who is now second in points, third win of the year. Parker Henderson earned a second-place podium finish in the 90 (8-12) class. Despite a ninth-place finish in West Virginia, 90 Limited (8-12) racer Damien Hawkins maintained his class points lead heading into the next round in Ohio.

Angel Knox GNCC Racing

Honda racer Angel Knox tallied her fourth WXC win of the year by taking the class victory at round seven

The 10 a.m. session saw two reigning GNCC champions earn class wins. Dave Simmons easily won the Super Senior (45+) class aboard his Yamaha, his seventh consecutive win of the year, to expand his points lead. Angel Knox also scored a win at round seven within the WXC (Women's) ranks. Her fourth win and fifth podium of 2015 has pushed the Honda-mounted racer to within striking distance of the class leader. With a second-place finish, Schoolboy Jr. (13-15) class racer Tanner Talbott notched his seventh podium of the year to expand his point's lead. Rich Little III (4x4 C) earned his best finish of the year, taking second and 82 overall in the same session. Kenny Rich Sr. missed the podium in the Masters (50+) class for the first time since round two, but carries an 11-point lead going into round eight.

Larry Hendershot Jr GNCC Racing

Larry Hendershot Jr., drove his ITP TerraCross-equipped Can-Am Maverick (JB Racing / Houser Racing / GUNK) to a strong second-place finish at the third round of the GNCC UTV championship series, which was also held at the Mountaineer Run GNCC round.

Team ITP had a good afternoon session, as Suzuki racer Westley Wolfe, the afternoon's Top Amateur Racer Award recipient, won the College A (16-21) and Greg Covert finished two spots behind him. ITP also took second in the Senior A/B (38+) class with Mark Batson and the third in the College B (16-21) class with Brayden Schick.

Sixty-four UTVs, 33 in the XC1 Pro class, competed in West Virginia. Earning a spot on both the XC1 Pro class podium and overall UTV podium were Larry Hendershot Jr. and Tim Farr, both of whom ran ITP TerraCross tires on their JB Racing / Houser Racing / Can-Am Maverick SxS vehicles. Mouse Pratt (fourth) and Marcus Pratt (ninth) tallied top-10 finishes for Team Jack's Excavating / ITP / Can-Am.
