East Springfield, PA (5/27/2015)
- JB Racing/Can-Am/Liquid Wrench’s Larry Hendershot,
Jr. and Tim Farr finished second and third on the
XC1 SxS podium at round seven, the Mountaineer Run,
of the 2015 GNCC series in Masontown, WV.
A rocky and challenging course greeted racers
for this round, but Larry Hendershot, Jr. was
prepared. “We walked the track the day before
and kind of decided what lines were the fastest
and safest,” said Hendershot, Jr.

Hendershot Jr finished second at the Mountaineer Run GNCC |
Hendershot, Jr. was on the front row for the
start and was soon in the number two spot, but
dropped back and had to catch back up. “I fell
back a couple times but was right behind Kyle
Chaney for most of the race. I showed him a wheel
a few times but that track was tough and you had
to be really careful choosing your lines,” said
Hendershot, Jr.

Even with the tough terrain, Hendershot stayed
close to the leader and was able to cross the
finish line in second place. “My JB Racing Can-Am
was awesome out there. I have 100% confidence
in the car and in myself. I know if the car is
at 100% we are going to finish well, and we did.
We are second place in points now and I want to
be the first to bring JB Racing that championship.
We have such a great program in place, I just
can’t say enough about it,” said Hendershot, Jr.
Tim Farr had some bad luck earlier in the season
but found some redemption for round seven. Farr
started on the third row and was third into the
woods in his group. Farr hit lap traffic early
in the race but was able to keep his forward momentum
and with the time adjustment, he finished in the
number three spot. “I was on the third row and
third going into the woods. From there I started
working forward and caught up to the second row.
There were a lot of lappers, but I still moved
forward,” said Farr.

#4 Tim Farr claimed the final spot on the GNCC Racing SxS Pro Podium |
“There were a lot of rocks and it was pretty
rough, but my JB Racing Maverick and ITP tires
really held up out there. We didn’t have any issues
and we were able to keep it between the trees
and just run a good clean race. It was awesome
to be back on the podium. It was a lot of fun
and I want to make it happen again. We had some
bad luck earlier in the season, but it looks like
it is turning around for us. I am really looking
forward to the next round and hopefully finishing
on the podium again,” said Farr.

#4 Tim Farr will once again be racing for a podium finish at the John Penton GNCC |
The next round of the 2015 GNCC series will head
to Millfield, OH for the John Penton round on
June 6-7 where the JB Racing team will be going
for the top of the podium once again.
