East Springfield, PA (6/12/2015)
- JB Racing / Can-Am / Liquid Wrench’s Tim Farr
and Larry Hendershot, Jr. finished third and fourth,
consecutively, in the XC1 UTV Pro Class during the
John Penton GNCC June 6 at Sunday Creek Raceway.
Both recovered from flips early in the race to record
the top-five finishes.

#4 Tim Farr
claimed the third spot on the GNCC Racing
SxS Podium
|
After starting on the second row, Tim Farr tangled
with two other UTVs and flipped his Can-Am in
the third turn. The flip damaged the brakes of
Farr’s machine, but using all of the skills he
learned in motocross and TT, he charged through
the pack to record his second consecutive podium:
“We had a good start, but we ended up on our lid
and then had some brake issues. With the dust
today and moving so far back, it was challenging
but fun. I figured the leaders were gone, and
I didn’t have a shot. I just kept the hammer down
and kept passing people. I was making time and
it was going well,” said Farr on his charge to
the final podium spot.
Farr credited his Can-Am for holding up during
very difficult conditions: “We were really brutal
on the Maverick today; sliding sideways into trees,
and mowing over saplings running wide open. The
thing was awesome. It was a good day for Can-Am”

#4 Tim Farr
has claimed back to back podiums heading
into the GNCC Racing Summer Break
|
Back to back podium finishes has boosted Farr
into the seventh spot in the championship points
race, and he is only one point out of the top
five.
Larry Hendershot Jr. started on the front row,
but hit a stump in the second turn and flipped
his UTV on its side. Righting his Maverick quickly,
Hendershot Jr. then fought his way through the
pack to finish fourth and hold on to second in
points: “We should have been on the podium, but
I’m still excited. This track has traditionally
not been my best track. We made a good charge
and held it together. We’re sitting well going
into the summer break. The Can-Am is awesome and
they are a great company to work with,” said Hendershot
Jr.

#6 Larry
Hendershot Jr just missed the podium with
a fourth place finish at the John Penton
GNCC, which has him 2nd in Points
|
After four rounds of racing, Hendershot Jr. is
currently second in the XC1 Pro UTV points championship
race, and his consistency has kept him in the
championship hunt with two podium finishes, and
he has yet to finish outside the top ten.
The next round of the GNCC SXS racing is October
17 at ITP Powerline Park in St. Clairsville, OH
for round twelve of the 2015 season. The JB Racing
team will be going for the top of the podium once
again as they chase after the championship.
