With overcast and cold conditions and rain in
the forecast, racers were prepared for a muddy
race. However, the rain held off to just a few
sprinkles, making for a fast, competitive and
relatively dust-free race.

#4 Tim Farr
& #6 Larry Hendershot Jr got off the
line back to back

Farr took the lead from the start and appeared
to be running away with the race, but fell to
second in the middle stages of the event. He turned
up the wick, made a late-race pass for the lead
and hammered his Can-Am on the closing laps to
seal the victory. With back to back wins to finish
out the season, Farr boosted himself into the
top three in the points championship.
“We were cruising at the beginning, but we got
into some lappers, tried a different line and
ended up hitting a tree,” said Farr. “I didn’t
know he had caught us. He went by us, and it was
on. He went by me in a field. We were battling
hard; it was pretty awesome. The Can-Am was great,
though. I got really tight on him in the woods
and we got into a section where we had to choose
a better line. I just stood on it, I stayed with
a tight line and I just barely squeaked by him.
From there I just hit it hard.

win

“We finally pulled it off in the end,” added
Farr. “It was nice to win the last race, come
in here and cap off the season with a win. The
Can-Am was phenomenal today. I ran it hard and
did some things with it, I normally wouldn’t,
but it held together. JB did a great job all year.
They listen to me and had full confidence in my
ideas.”
Hendershot Jr. drove a cautious race to secure
his spot in the championship race, and finished
out the day in the top five.

“This track and the car were awesome today,”
said Hendershot Jr. “I just drove a little too
cautiously. We’ll always take a top five. The
season went really well this year. We finished
second in points, and we’ll come back stronger
next year.
“The Houser Racing stuff really helped me today,”
added Hendershot Jr. “I wouldn’t make it through
one of these races without the Houser bumpers
and other components.”
The JB Racing/Can-Am/Liquid Wrench Team put together
a very successful year of racing by claiming a
combined six podium finishes including two wins
during the eight round series with both team members
finishing in the top three in the GNCC championship
points race.
