Jeffrey Rastrelli to Race Sunset Ridge after Ironman MX Injury

Jeffrey Rastrelli was hoping for a shot at the podium at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, IN, but his hopes were dashed by a wreck during morning qualifiers. “It wasn’t a good day for me at all. I wrecked in the first time qualifier, very lightly, and ended up with an AC separation in my shoulder. It was a wreck I should have got up and laughed about but sometimes those are the worst ones,” said Rastrelli.

The injury kept Rastrelli from competing, but it didn’t dampen his spirits and he had good news to report after a trip to a specialist on Monday. “They had awesome news for me! They told me I had a stage two separation and that in two weeks I can ride again. I'm hoping to have a decent healing process in the next two weeks and come back at Sunset Ridge, so I can at least salvage some points, and then hopefully be back to 100% for Millville,” said Rastrelli.

Round six of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships heads to Sunset Ridge in Walnut, IL on June 13th where Jeffrey Rastrelli will make his return.
