2015 AMA ATV Motocross
Round 1 - Echeconnee MX

Union City, TN (3/24/2015) - Team BTF made a great appearance in Echeconnee MX Track in Lizella, GA during the 1st Round of the AMA ATVMX National Championship.  After a very wet and stormy Saturday evening, track officials decided to cancel Sundays Moto 2 races and things were judged a little differently than normal.

Vital Cazenave an Argentinan native raced both Pro and Pro AM. On Saturday during the Pro race Vital got 8th in Moto 1 and 9th in Moto 2, with an overall finish of 8th. On Sunday, after only racing Moto 1 because of the bad weather, Vital came out first in the Holeshot and held onto it until the checkered flag!! Vital ended up with 1st place and started the season off leading the class in points.

Kirkland Jack, of New Port Richey Florida, raced 450B and Production B. In 450B class Kirkland came out 2nd on the Holeshot and worked his way up to first, there was no 2nd Moto and he had the fastest heat earlier that day, so he got 1st overall. Kirkland is leading the points in 450B, In Production B, Kirkland, came out of the gate 17th and quickly worked his way up to 2nd for Moto 1 and with there being no 2nd Moto, his heat was judged, making him get 3rd overall for the weekend.

Joe Byrd felt good going into the event. However the event wasn’t so nice to Joe. From the first qualifier, having suspension and radiator problems. To the first Moto breaking his engine and chain. It was a very frustrating weekend for Big Byrd.

Cam Covil raced Pro Am should have got 2nd, but due to a poor choice in sprockets, he found himself broke down 2 turns from the finish line.

Team BTF would like to thank all their sponsors, support system, and fans!! If you like to come train with Joe or have any questions feel free to email him at joebyrdschool@hotmail.com.
