2015 GNCC Racing
Unadilla - Round 10

Shelbyville, TN (5/24/2015) - Summer break came to a close and GNCC racing was go again with the annual migration to New York State's Unadilla MX raceway. A gem in the calendar for many a race fan and made famous by its Skyshot jump. Expectations were high for the team coming away with 2 class wins at the GBC Motorsports Heartland Challenge. Pro 4x4 riders, Michael Swift and Kevin Trantham, were also fresh from a test with Maxxis Tires and looking to put their set up into practice.

Team UXC/Polaris Factory Racers Kevin Trantham earned the overall and the win in the Pro 4x4 Class followed closely by Michael Swift

Swift and Trantham worked through the field to come out leading the pack by the end of the first lap. The pair put on a spectacular show for the spectators, swapping the lead many times but remaining less than a second apart. The Factory Polaris Scrambler XP850's showed their strength and pulled a strong gap on 3rd place all the way to the finish. The competition never got close. Trantham pulled out the win less than 1 second in front of teammate Swift. The two also took 1st and 2nd in the Overall.

“I enjoyed the close racing and was proud to put my Polaris Scrambler 850XP in the center of the box once again,” Trantham said.

40+ rider Don Higbee brought home a strong 3rd place. 4x4 A/B class rider, Graham Widdicombe, also put up a strong ride with a 5th place. On the day, both riders placed their Polaris Scrambler 850XP's highest in class and came in the top 50 overall out of 400 starters. Fresh from the desert State of Arizona guest rider and experienced Scrambler XP1000 rider, Jeff Wright, took off on Swift's spare Polaris Scrambler XP850 bike. The dust was no problem for this experienced dust eater, and he produced a very able ride finishing in 7th place in the 4x4 A/B class.

The winning combination of Team UXC's sponsors put together by Swift is paying off. The CustomAxis Shocks cushioned the landing of the Scrambler each lap off the Skyshot and soaked up the roughest braking bumps. Combined with the might of the Maxxis tires and the bite of the DP Brakes, the machines tore up the New York dirt with ease. Now it's time to regroup and clean up before heading to Mountain Ridge, Somerset for Round 11.
